PIQUA, Ohio — March 2, 1994 — The Hartzell Service Center announced today that it received Joint Aviation Authority (JAA) certification from officials in the Netherlands at the end of 1993. (Registration # SJ3R843L)<\/p>\n
As such, the Hartzell Service Center is an approved “… source for maintenance of European operated aircraft and \/or components in accordance with JAR 145.10 in the Joint Aviation Authorities Administrative and guidance material, Section Two, Part Four.”<\/p>\n
The Hartzell Service Center and its parent, Hartzell Propeller Inc., are two of only a handful of U.S. based organizations that have received European certification so far. Over 400 U.S. repair stations have submitted applications. The JAA is a group of primarily European countries that have banded together to provide a central and consistent source for aviation related regulation and oversight.<\/p>\n
Due to a significant installed base overseas (Hartzell exported into 42 countries last year), the Hartzell Service Center handles a large amount of propeller overhaul and service work in Europe. Operators of Hartzell equipped aircraft in Europe will continue to be assured of a source for factory quality parts, service, overhauls and exchange props through the Hartzell Service Center.<\/p>\n
